Progress 11/05

Over the past week, our team has made great strides on the software front of the project. Specifically, we have focused on finalizing the backend and the integration with the APP.

One major accomplishment has been integrating the rest of the software with the ESP-32 and Raspberry modules, using communication via MQTT. This has been a key milestone in our project timeline and has brought us one step closer to our ultimate goal.

As for the progress with the hardware/mechanical part of the project as mentioned last week we already finalized the structural part of the Carrier and we’re ready on this front. For the hardware the last problems with the hardware project (the H bridges) was solved with the decision of upgrading them to the BTS7960 modules, which are the last modules we needed to complete its implementation.

We have made significant changes to the way we process aruco markers. Specifically, we now take into account the vertical focal length of the webcam. This new approach helps us to avoid any incorrect measurements, especially when the user is turning left or right.
